Healthier Sugar Cookies

INGREDIENTS

COOKIE

  • 1/4 cup softened butter

  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar

  • 1 T milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

GLAZE

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 T milk

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mix wet ingredients: softened butter and sugar then add in milk, egg, and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients: add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Mix wet and dry ingredients together and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  • Roll out the dough and cut into favorite shapes. Cook for 8-10 minutes

  • Combine powdered sugar and milk and top cookies once they have cooled. Serve and enjoy!
